XPO is hiring a Truck Driver Student in California who will train to obtain a CDL-A and gain hands-on experience as an LTL driver. You’ll perform vehicle inspections, maintain DOT records, and assist with loading freight while adhering to safety policies and company guidelines.

The role offers comprehensive benefits and allows work across day/evening/night/weekend shifts. Eligible candidates must meet basic licensing, age, and background requirements and participate in a DOT background check.

Formación

• Be at least 21 years old and have 1 year of related experience.
• Hold a valid state driver's license for at least 12 months.
• Obtain a CDL-A permit by day one and endorsements within 90 days.
• Complete TSA background check by week 2 of class.
• Pass DOT drug test with no positive results in 3 years.
• Maintain a safe driving record and compliant FMCSR/DOT documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Attend CDL-A training sessions and gain on-the-job experience as an LTL Driver.
• Under supervision, perform vehicle inspections per FMCSR 396.13.
• Maintain records per FMCSR, DOT and company policies.
• Load/unload freight with a forklift as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
• Adhere to safety policies and coordinate with service center staff.

Conocimientos

CDL-A permit within 90 days

1 year related experience

Valid state driver's license 12+ mos

Meet age 21+

Read/write English for reports
