Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee in Monroe, OH. You will learn to operate tractor-trailers or straight trucks across local and interstate routes while delivering and unloading goods to customers.

Training and supervision are provided to ensure safe, compliant operations. Requirements include a CDL A, 21 years or older, a clean MVR, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, road test, and DOT health card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL A license required.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test; pass road test; DOT Health Card required.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required.
• Ride with and assist driver trainer in executing deliveries.
• Perform pre/post-trip safety inspections per DOT regulations and report issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer loading; verify customer invoices and required paperwork; move tractor to loading dock.
• Drive to deliver customer orders according to route schedule.
• Unload products, verify delivery with customer, obtain signatures, and handle payments when required.
• Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are secured at all times.
• Complete daily hours of service logs; perform housekeeping and related duties.
