Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn and gain experience driving tractor trailer or straight truck on local routes. You will deliver and unload food products, follow DOT regulations, and work with a trainer to complete required training.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with home daily, a solid compensation range of about $80,000–$100,000 annually, and benefits starting Day 1 as part of a growing distribution team for america’s food service industry.

Qualifications

• 0 - 6 months external driver school direct hire with a Class A CDL or 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent.
• Valid CDL A and DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the Driver Trainee training program and documentation.
• Rides-with and assists the driver trainer during deliveries and training.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and report issues.
• Drive to deliver customer orders according to route schedule and unload as required.
• Complete daily hours-of-service records and maintain paperwork accuracy.
