Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A Driver to deliver food and related products. This role requires operating tractor-trailer or straight trucks on local and interstate routes with overnight options, following DOT regulations and ensuring safe, timely deliveries.

Home nightly and competitive benefits accompany the steady schedule. The position demands a valid CDL-A, 21+ years of age, clean driving record, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and coworkers to answer questions accurately and timely.
• Work as a team member and perform duties to best serve the company.
• Conduct safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and ensure vehicle meets safety standards.
• Report safety issues and necessary repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safe driving policies.
• Obtain customer signatures and verify deliveries.
• Load/unload items as required and secure freight for transport.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service logs per federal and company rules.
• Complete paperwork accurately and legibly.
