Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an overnight Driver, Dedicated Backhaul to support our food distribution network. The role requires driving tractor-trailer/straight truck on local and over-the-road routes to pick up and deliver food and related products safely and on time.

Responsibilities include route driving, loading/unloading support, paperwork inspections, and ensuring DOT compliance. You will interact professionally with customers and vendors and return loads to PFG warehouses as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent is required.
• 1+ years commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license is required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Possess current DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 lbs with equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive to supplier/vendor and PFG warehouse locations per route and delivery schedule.
• Deliver loads to PFG warehouse locations and ensure correct product received.
• Perform load/paperwork inspections, quality checks, and related items.
• Complete required backhaul paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Communicate route, load, and schedule with supervisor regularly.
• Report load drop-off/pick-up issues and schedule changes to supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
