Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A Driver to operate tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, including overnight and shuttle runs, delivering food and related products to customers.

You will drive safely per DOT regulations, communicate with customers, and complete required paperwork. Schedule includes Monday, Friday and Saturday with night dispatch, 10:00 PM–4:00 AM, and competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift 10–35 lbs and up to 60–90 lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors and co-workers.
• Plays a team role and performs duties to support the company.
• Conducts pre/post-trip safety inspections per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and required repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company driving guidelines.
• Delivers customer orders according to route schedule and unloads goods.
• Obtains customer signatures and completes delivery paperwork.
