Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• One year of experience in the last three years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR.
• Must meet DOT FMC regulations (46 CFR 391).
• Hazmat endorsement must be obtained within 120 days of offer.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations and/or straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight with motorized/manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Secure freight in trailers using pallets, straps, rope.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers about pickups, deliveries, and issues.
• Seek additional business and provide leads to sales.
