Job summary

Vistar is seeking a CDL-A Driver to deliver food and related products using tractor-trailers or straight trucks across intrastate, interstate, and OTR routes. You will be the face of the company, ensuring on-time arrivals and safe handling of goods.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Experience in the foodservice distribution industry.
• Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (PeopleNet).
• Hand-held POD scanning system experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on tractor, trailer, and trailer according to DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect trailer for proper loading and secured freight; complete required paperwork.
• Secure and unload damaged goods and returns; close out paperwork at shift end.
• Maintain daily records and comply with hours of service requirements.
• Uphold safety standards throughout the delivery process and perform other duties as assigned.
