Job summary

NIS Express in California is seeking new CDL drivers starting from training to solo. You’ll be paid while you learn and learn on the road with an experienced trainer.

Expect home time every two weeks, steady miles, and a generous bonus structure as you progress through over-the-road routes across the Western states. During training you’ll earn $800 per week, guaranteed $1,000 per week for the first three months solo, and afterward average $1,200–$1,400 weekly with mileage and stop-pay.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old
• 120+ hours CDL school for new drivers
• 6 months OTR in last 12 months or 12+ months in last 5 years for experienced drivers
• No DUI/DWI in past 5–10 years
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing

Responsibilities

• Transport temperature-controlled freight across CA, NV, OR, WA, ID and UT
• Day and night dispatches; some weekends/holidays
• Home every 2 weeks
• Riders and pets welcome after training

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
• New drivers: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years
• Must pass hair and urine drug testing
