Job summary

NIS EXPRESS on the Central Coast is hiring CDL drivers for short-haul runs in 11 western states. Training is paid, with $680 per week during learning and a guaranteed $1,000 per week for 3 months after solo dispatch.

Typical week: 1,700–2,100 miles, home every two weeks. Benefits include health, dental, vision after 30 days, 401k with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class A CDL and be at least 21 years old.
• New drivers: 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer on short-haul routes in the Western states.
• Deliver dry van freight while maintaining safety and compliance.
• Follow company policies and coordinate with dispatch to meet schedules.

Training

• Paid on the road training with a driver trainer, 4 to 6 weeks
• $680 per week while you learn
• Solo truck after sign off
• $1,000 per week guaranteed for 3 months after your first solo dispatch

Where You Run

• 11 western states, dry van freight
• Short runs, usually 2 days or less
• Home every two weeks
• 1,700 to 2,100 miles a week

Pay

• $1,000 to $1,500 average weekly gross
• Mileage pay scale that grows with experience
• Up to 6 cents per mile performance bonus
• $15 stop pay

What You Need

• Class A CDL and at least 21 years old
• New drivers: 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school

• Clean record: max 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years
• Pass hair and urine drug testing
