Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking new CDL drivers for an East Coast, trainer-led start. Trainees earn weekly pay during 4–6 weeks of on-road training, then advance to solo operation in a personal truck with a guaranteed weekly amount for the first months.

Drivers haul freight along the eastern seaboard, averaging about 2,500 miles weekly, with home time every two weeks and standard post-setup pay. Benefits follow after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL and at least 21 years old.
• New drivers: 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the last 5 years.
• Clean record: max 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
• Pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Train on the road with a driver trainer for 4–6 weeks.
• Earn $650 per week during training.
• Go solo in your own truck after sign-off.
• Guaranteed $1,000 weekly for 3 months after solo.

Training Phase

• Paid on the road training with a driver trainer, 4 to 6 weeks
• $650 a week while you learn
• Solo in your own truck after sign off
• $1,000 a week guaranteed for 3 months after your first solo dispatch

On the Road

• Freight up and down the eastern seaboard, nothing too far west
• About 2,500 miles a week
• Home every two weeks
• Drop and hook on most loads

What You Make

• $1,200 to $1,500 average weekly gross
• $0.55 per mile to start, plus 1 cent for every year of experience, up to $0.65
• $15 stop pay
• Performance bonus plan
