Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL (or CLP) prior to entering job classification.
• Must have acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to operate/assist with forklift or dock equipment where required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations; including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre/post/inter-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and required documentation.
• Follow Dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Comply with hazmat regulations and company procedures when applicable.
• Support city driver or freight handler duties as needed.
• Operate freight handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck) as required.
