Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a professional driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles where required, delivering between service centers and turn-point locations.

The role requires completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining logs, and following dispatch instructions. You may perform dock duties and forklift work as needed. This is a full-time position with variable schedules depending on routes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a commercial learning permit (CLP) prior to entering job classification.
• Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards.
• Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR part 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and/or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
