Job summary

American Driver LLC in Wichita Falls is seeking CDL-A drivers for a 27-state regional fleet. Training is paid, and you will be mentored during orientation before solo driving.

Brand-new license, zero miles? You can still start here. Training is paid and you are never thrown in alone.

Money and miles

• Training pay: $800 a week
• $1,000 guaranteed per week for your first 3 months solo
• $1,200 to $1,800 average per week
• $0.50 per mile starting band
• 1,800 to 2,400 miles weekly
• Home every two to three weeks
• Monthly performance bonus
• Paid every week by direct deposit

Day to day

Runs like OTR but inside a set zone, so you are not sent everywhere.

Holidays can be requested off.

What the first weeks look like

1. A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and MVR together with you.
2. You attend orientation (2 days max). The hotel is paid, your one-way bus ticket is reimbursed, and you get $300 for orientation when hired.
3. You spend 4 to 6 weeks driving with a mentor, learning to back, plan trips, keep logs and fuel. That earns you $800 a week.
4. You are assigned your own late-model truck (1.5 years old on average), 10-speed or automatic. For 3 months your weekly pay will not go under $1,000.

Straight answers for new drivers

• "How often will I see home?" You are home every two to three weeks.
• "Will my pay drop when training ends?" No. You have a $1,000 weekly guarantee for your first 3 months solo.
• "What if I have a problem on the road?" You are not on your own. Trips are planned for you and your driver leader picks up the phone.
• "Do I have to pay for orientation?" No. The hotel is covered, your bus ticket is reimbursed, and you are paid $300 once hired.
