Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Imperial, PA is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to build customer relationships while delivering food products to a variety of clients. This role offers day shifts, home daily, and local routes with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. You will unload up to 100 lbs and may use a ramp and two-wheeler on a typical shift, with a schedule that runs Monday through Friday and early start times.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Class A CDL license at hire.
• Ability to unload up to 350 pounds with two-wheel cart and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Read, write, and communicate in English for labels, scanners, and paperwork.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Clean driving record; comply with DOT and company standards.
• Register with the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide consent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers and maintain relationships.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs and operate a two-wheel cart and ramp.
• Follow routes and ensure on-time delivery to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and more.
• Maintain safety and accuracy in loading/unloading and documentation.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location: Imperial, PA

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you’ll be home every day. You’ll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you’ll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule: Monday - Friday. Start time 3 AM - 5 AM AM until work until the route is finished.

Pay: Drivers average $70,000-$100,000 K/year Guaranteed minimum of $1100/week Daily base pay, plus component pay Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered.

Requirements and Duties

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
