Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to build relationships with customers while delivering food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you’ll be home every day. You’ll unload cases up to 100 lbs, and use a ramp and two-wheeler during your shift.

Start times range from 1AM-4AM with a 5‑day work week. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply and you will be paid weekly with benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL license at hire.
• Ability to unload cases up to 100 lbs.
• Pass drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record per DOT and company standards.
• Must be registered through the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers (restaurants, schools, hospitals, and more).
• Build relationships with customers during deliveries.
• Unload cases and operate a ramp and two-wheeler as needed.
• Maintain local day routes with home every evening.

Schedule

5 day work week between Monday - Saturday, Start time 1AM-4AM until route finish HOME EVERY EVENING

Pay

Guaranteed minimum of $1200/ week Daily base pay, plus component pay Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
