Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Lima, OH is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to provide reliable, courteous service by delivering food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals and more. Day shifts, local routes, and home daily with an early start.

You’ll unload cases up to 100 lbs, use a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift, and must pass DOT drug and background checks. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply. High drive standards apply.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL License at hire.
• Able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs during shift.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Pass drug test and background check as required by DOT and company.
• Clean driving record; DOT compliance.
• Registered through DOT Clearinghouse eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers such as restaurants, schools and hospitals.
• Build relationships with customers and ensure service levels.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs; use ramp and two-wheeler on shift.
• Follow schedule: Monday–Friday, 3AM–6AM start until route finished.
• Get home daily with day shifts and local routes.

CDL A Delivery Driver

Location : Lima, OH

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you’ll be home every day. You’ll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you’ll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule : Monday - Friday. Start time 3AM - 6AM until the route is finished.

Pay : Drivers average $75K - $95K /year

• Guaranteed minimum of $1100 /week
• Daily base pay, plus component pay

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
