Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Smyrna, TN to move products for America's favorite brands. Drivers receive industry-leading pay, comprehensive benefits from day one, and home daily routes with overnight loads as needed.

Pay ranges from $65,000 to $105,000 depending on route sizes, with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 paid over the first year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more; 401(k) profit sharing after 90 days and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid CDL-A license
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection report
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and navigate customer premises
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations and document deliveries
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
