Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our nationwide team in Danville, IL. You will inspect, drive, log and deliver to customer locations with strict safety and DOT compliance.

We offer industry-leading pay ($85,000–$100,000 annually), Day 1 medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and company-paid life insurance plus paid holidays and leave. Home time is a focus with reliable routes and supported by strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for safety and operations.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy when delivering off-hours.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, follow regulations and perform maneuvering safely.
• Maintain driver log per DOT rules, record temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
