Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver. You will drive tractor-trailers, inspect loads, and deliver to customer locations while complying with DOT regulations.

We offer competitive pay from $65,000 to $105,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. Eligible benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) profit sharing after 90 days, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required with valid MVR
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• English reading/writing ability sufficient for safety and instructions
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Safety-conscious and reliable

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and safety.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT rules.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
