Job summary

McLane Company, Inc is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Newnan, GA. This role offers industry-leading pay and comprehensive benefits, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will operate tractor-trailers, ensure DOT compliance, and deliver products to customers. Eligible drivers have a CDL-A, at least 21 years old, and relevant driving experience. The position includes day-one benefits and a sign-on bonus based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a valid Class A CDL (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for job tasks and safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy for off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination complying with commercial driving regulations.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations and document delivery details.
• Unload trailer and deliver products into customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $7,500, depending on experience.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
