Performance Food Group is seeking a Driver Trainee to join its foodservice delivery team. The role supports the country’s food distribution system by delivering orders, assisting driver trainers, and ensuring on-time, accurate deliveries with professional customer interactions.

The position starts with an entry-level training period, followed by progression to paid-by-results steps, with robust pay and benefits as part of a safety‑conscious, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A license (or ability to obtain one).
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements; DOT health card.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test; DOT health card up to date.
• Able to lift 10–35 lbs and up to 60–90 lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Completes Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Rides with and assists driver trainer in delivering orders.
• Performs pre/post trip safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Inspects trailer for proper loading and secure freight.
• Drives to delivery locations according to schedule.
• Unloads products at customer sites and obtains signatures.
• Maintains daily hours of service logs as required.
