Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Lafayette, LA is seeking a CDL-A driver to join our delivery team. You will drive tractor-trailer or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring timely delivery of food products and professional customer interaction.

Responsibilities include safety inspections, load securement, paperwork accuracy, signature collection, and adherence to DOT regulations. Training pay is $25.00 per hour with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license and DOT Health Card.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Clean driving record (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Able to pass drug test and background check.
• Able to pass road test and obtain required paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and coworkers and respond to questions promptly.
• Perform safety checks and inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Deliver and unload products to customers on schedule and verify accuracy.
• Complete required paperwork, obtain customer signatures and secure loads.
• Maintain vehicle, trailer and work area in a clean, secure condition.
