Job summary

Performance Foodservice seeks an experienced delivery driver to ensure timely, safe delivery of food and related products. You will operate tractor trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, including overnight and shuttle runs, while maintaining DOT compliance and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• CDL-A required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure.
• Ability to lift and move freight up to 90 lbs with equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally and timely.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and inspect vehicle.
• Drive tractor(s) and deliver orders according to routes and schedules.
• Unload products and assist with loading as required.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Maintain vehicle security and proper trailer loading.
• Record hours of service daily as required.
