Job summary

Sysco Columbus is seeking a professional Delivery Driver to transport products from the warehouse to customers in a safe, efficient manner using a tractor-trailer. You will follow company standards, complete timely deliveries, and maintain accurate paperwork.

This role offers paid holidays, medical/dental/vision, 401k and stock purchase plan, and a training program. Most routes are 24 hours or less, with overnight and weekend schedules common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience.
• Completion of a tractor trailer driving school is acceptable in lieu of or in addition to high school diploma.
• Food and/or beverage delivery experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from trailer by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Complete paperwork per guidelines (DOT logs, inspections, vehicle maintenance reports, pre/post-trip reports, invoices) accurately and timely.
• Ensure food safety protocols are met and maintain sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer and warehouse.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with customers through excellent service and clear communication.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
