Job summary

Sysco Columbus is seeking a delivery driver responsible for transporting and unloading product from the warehouse to diverse customers. You will operate a tractor-trailer, ensuring accurate deliveries while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

The role requires a Class A CDL, at least one year of driving experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver 2-wheeled carts. Overtime and weekend shifts are common, with paid holidays and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED, plus 1 year tractor trailer driving experience.
• 1 year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience; Food and/or beverage delivery experience a plus.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Safe lifting and delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and unload product from the warehouse to customers according to customer invoices and company standards.
• Operate a tractor-trailer safely day and night across various routes and weather conditions.
• Maintain accurate logs, inspections, and reports; ensure invoicing accuracy and report damages/shortages promptly.
• Build good relationships with customers through courteous, clear communication.
