Job summary

Sysco Columbus is seeking delivery drivers to transport products from the warehouse to customers, operating tractor trailers and delivering according to invoices and company standards.

Responsibilities include unloading, completing paperwork in line with DOT guidelines, maintaining food safety, and building strong customer relationships. A valid CDL-A and 1 year of verifiable driving experience are required, with top earners on our routes often working overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED plus 1 year tractor trailer driving experience
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Food and/or beverage delivery experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Unloads product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Ensures all paperwork is completed according to established company and governmental guidelines (e.g., DOT electronic or manual logs, inspections, maintenance reports) and that invoices are accurate.
• Ensures all food safety protocols are met and maintains sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer; assists with warehouse/yard sanitation.
• Develops and maintains good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
