Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee/Dock to Driver role based in Rapid City, SD. CDL A license is required and you will participate in training with a focus on safety, loading/unloading, and delivering orders to customers on preassigned routes.

Responsibilities include DOT-compliant inspections, daily hours logging, and interacting professionally with customers and vendors to ensure timely, accurate deliveries and signatures.

Qualifications

• This is an entry level position with CDL A license required.
• Must be 21 years or older and have a valid CDL A.
• Clean MVR and ability to pass post-offer drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in driver training and learning routes.
• Load, unload, and secure freight for delivery.
• Deliver orders to customers on schedule and verify signatures.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report safety issues.
• Maintain daily record of hours and ensure compliance with DOT.
