Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver in Texas. You will inspect tractors, drive to destinations, document DOT inspections, and unload at customer sites, with focus on safety and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of regulations and maneuvering skills.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, temps and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
