Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our team. You will inspect, drive, and deliver products to customer locations, maintaining logs and complying with DOT rules.

This role requires safe driving practices and punctual, accurate handling of paperwork and shipments. Compensation starts at $78,000 per year with comprehensive benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on road and customer premises.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
