Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our nationwide distribution network.

This role involves inspecting tractors and trailers, loading and unloading goods, and delivering to customer premises while complying with DOT regulations and safety standards. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer experience, hold a valid CDL-A, and meet McLane’s MVR and risk qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
