Job summary

Performance Food Group in Temple, TX is seeking a CDL-A Driver to join our team delivering food and related products. You will operate tractor-trailer or straight truck, follow DOT regulations, and ensure on-time deliveries while representing the company professionally.

This full-time role offers a 4-5 day work week, competitive pay of $80,000-$100,000 annually, and benefits from day one. Applicants must meet MVR, pass drug test, and hold valid CDL-A with the ability to lift up to 90 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1 year commercial driving experience.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meets PFG MVR requirements for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Meet PFG FMCSA Clearinghouse Requirements.
• Pass road test.
• Able to secure new DOT Medical Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move freight up to 90 pounds.
• Must be able to work the assigned schedule required for the position.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• English language proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations; inspect tractor/truck and trailer.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded freight; verify customer invoices and complete required paperwork.
• Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are securely locked; unload damaged goods and return paperwork at shift end.
• Complies with daily record-keeping and hours of service requirements per DOT and company policies.
• Upholds safety standards and proper handling of freight throughout delivery process.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
