Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a full-time Class A CDL Combo P Driver/Dockworker in West Sacramento. The role combines driving and dock loading, with responsibilities including safe freight handling, timely deliveries, and adherence to DOT regulations.

Expect flexible shifts, potential third shift, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include a valid CDL-A with hazmat/tanker endorsements, English proficiency, and at least 12 months of tractor-trailer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailers, tanker, and hazmat endorsements.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; basic math literacy.
• Experience with tractor-trailer driving and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
• Operate tractor-trailer safely per DOT regulations; meet delivery schedules.
• Use Yard Management System to track freight locations.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, or ropes.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure quality loading of trailers.
