Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking dedicated Dockworker/Driver to load, unload and transport freight between service centers and customer facilities. You’ll operate a forklift, use dock yard systems, and ensure safe, compliant handling of shipments.

Required is a CDL‑A with appropriate endorsements, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass DOT medical and drug tests. Flexible shifts and strong teamwork are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English with basic math skills.
• CDL Class A with double/triple trailers, tanker and hazmat endorsements.
• Satisfactory motor vehicle record and medical standards.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight with forklift or manually, following DOT rules.
• Deliver freight between service centers and customer sites by tractor-trailer.
• Ensure safe loading, securement and efficient handling of freight on trailers.
• Read shipping labels and complete required freight movement forms.
• Maintain communication with service center personnel; meet deadlines.
