IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time CDL 18-Wheeler Truck Driver in Chester, Virginia. You will safely operate an 18-wheeler, transport goods, and perform thorough vehicle inspections to meet DOT standards.

You will maintain logs, secure cargo, and communicate with dispatch on scheduling, while adapting to traffic and weather. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and excellent customer service during deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL required.
• 2–5 years CDL driver experience.
• Ability to work overtime.
• High level of punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pass drug/alcohol tests as required.
• Pass pre-employment background and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer in compliance with regulations.
• Transport goods to and from customer locations and warehouses.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain logs of hours and vehicle service per DOT standards.
• Secure cargo to prevent shifting during transit.
• Communicate with dispatch on scheduling and delays.
• Follow routes and adapt to traffic and weather.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report issues.
• Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and safe freight delivery.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
