You will maintain logs, secure cargo, and communicate with dispatch on scheduling, while adapting to traffic and weather. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and excellent customer service during deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL required.
• 2–5 years CDL driver experience.
• Ability to work overtime.
• High level of punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pass drug/alcohol tests as required.
• Pass pre-employment background and MVR checks.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

• Safely operate an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Transport goods to and from customer locations, distribution centers, or warehouses.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service according to DOT and company standards.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding scheduling, delays, and delivery updates.
• Follow assigned routes while adapting to traffic, weather, or road conditions.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report mechancial issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and safe delivery of freight.
• Comply with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
