Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Chester, VA seeks a full-time Journeyman Electrician to join our field team. You will supervise and coordinate activities, interpret blueprints, ensure safety documentation, and inspect work quality to meet specifications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial electrical experience, a current VA Journeyman license, OSHA 10 (or ability to obtain), and can pass pre-employment background and MVR checks. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent commercial electrical field experience.
• Current state electrical journeyman license.
• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
• Pre-employment background and MVR checks where required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
• Confirms completion & documentation of project safety activities as directed.
• Inspects quality and quantity of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems.
• Completes other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Works from all types of ladders.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Travel may be required.
