Job summary

MetroHealth’s Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide skilled care for congestive heart failure, COPD, sepsis and complex post-surgical patients.

The role features a full-time, bi-weekly 72-hour schedule with rotating weekends and holidays, a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for experienced RNs, and robust benefits including tuition reimbursement and OPERS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac patients.
• Care for patients with central lines and invasive monitors.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) and airway management.
• Provide rescue ventilation support (BiPAP, High Flow Oxygen) as needed.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management in fast-paced care.
