Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL seeks a Critical Care Unit Registered Nurse for the Day shift. The role delivers highly specialized care to patients with life-threatening illnesses, including monitoring, medication administration, operating life support equipment, and coordinating with the healthcare team.

Applicants must hold a current Alabama RN license, BLS and ACLS, with CCU/ICU experience preferred. BSN is preferred; CCRN encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year in acute care hospital; CCU/ICU preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in CCU/ICU.
• Educate patients and families and supervise other nursing personnel while maintaining care standards in CCU/ICU.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and monitor hemodynamics.
