Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Tennessee seeks a Behavior Specialist to support CBT interventions within treatment programs. You will assess behavior, develop plans, train patients and supports, and monitor progress in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and CBT experience, with on-site responsibilities Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm CST, along with required certifications and trainings within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Must hold a valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential or state equivalent.
• 12 months CBT experience preferred; related clinical/human services experience acceptable.
• Must hold current driver’s license (Residential programs preferred).
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire; Bi-annual recertification required.
• NCI training within 60 days of hire; RCC/CBRF trainings within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide CBT and other therapeutic services including groups to patients under supervision to meet goals.
• Participate in supervision sessions and communicate patient progress and care plan adjustments.
• Monitor intervention effectiveness and adjust as needed in consultation with Clinical leader.
• Document mental health services per regulations and payer expectations in the medical record.
• Attend multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
• Offer training support to direct care team members on CBT interventions.
• Provide parent or support person training on CBT and behavioral plans.
• Ensure patient safety and adapt staffing as needed.
