Job summary

Smart Data Systems in the Washington, DC Metro Area is seeking a CBRNE Project Manager to lead a project and a staff providing direct customer support for a mission-critical program within the CBRNE Defense space. You will lead project plan development and implementation, manage cost, schedule, and performance, and ensure client expectations are met while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

This on-site, 1-year assignment requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and U.S.

Qualifications

10+ years of project management experience in relevant scientific or technical domains.
Experience leading programs worth $10M+ annually across organizational lines.
Knowledge of government/industrial contracts; experience with fixed-price, cost-plus, and T&M.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
U.S. citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (required).

Responsibilities

Define project requirements covering cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Lead development of the Work Breakdown Structure to identify all work.
Direct estimation of project costs and contribute to broader system efforts.
Manage cost, schedule, and performance; implement change management.
Establish and track project metrics for successful completion.
Use root-cause analysis and EVM to manage variances.
Coordinate with the client and cross-functional teams; maintain progress updates.
Support business development and proposal activities with the client.
