Job summary

MELE Associates, Inc. in Novato, CA seeks a full-time CBRN technical equipment support professional to assist the DHS Mobile Detection Deployment Unit (MDDU).

The role focuses on maintaining readiness of CBRN detection gear and coordinating field operations nationwide. Responsibilities include tracking equipment, performing repairs and calibration, handling radioactive sources, and supporting training and exercises with federal, state, and local agencies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in radiation detection and support at events or steady-state operations.
• Training/experience with DHS SEAR/NSSE events is a plus.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance and DHS suitability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate a 45' tow rig.

Responsibilities

• Track, secure, and manage MDDU equipment and radioactive sources.
• Conduct inventories and update tracking systems.
• Maintain readiness; perform repairs, calibration, and field maintenance.
• Conduct CBRN detection operations with federal, state, and local agencies nationwide.
• Prepare travel and procurement expense reports.
