Job summary

CCI Systems is seeking a CATV Survey Technician to perform field walkouts and produce detailed notes for new or existing cable plants in line with customer specs. The role requires independence, attention to detail, and the ability to work in varied terrain around Atlanta, GA, with reliable transportation.

You will collect field data, determine routes, and document locations, poles, pedestals, and Make-Ready issues while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cable mapping experience.
• Hands-on CATV as-built and new build walkouts experience.
• Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams.
• Experience with OCALC, SpidaCalc, Katapult, ArcGIS, Bluebeam.
• Proficient MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF editing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform walkouts across towns to gather field notes for cable plants.
• Gather footage with measuring wheels, laser rangefinders, or digital devices.
• Record data on tablets, laptops, or paper maps.
• Identify best routes along power lines and poles.
• Ensure compliance with customer and industry specifications.
• Maintain clean, stocked vehicles and work with teams.
• Collaborate with customers, partners, and technology teams.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
