Job summary

TruVista Communications Inc in North Georgia seeks a field technician to perform CATV builds, maintenance, and outage response. You will operate company vehicles, use testing devices, and ensure compliance with codes and safety rules.

The role demands a high school diploma, 3–5 years of telecom installation/repair experience, bucket truck operation, and a valid driver's license with clean record; DOT certification may be required. Willingness for after-hours work is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3-5 years of telecommunications installation/repair experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a bucket truck and maintaining safety standards.
  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record; DOT certification if required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CATV trunk/distribution work from headend to customer device.
  • Debug and repair escalated faults causing out-of-spec readings.
  • Maintain CATV power systems and repair as needed.
  • Splice new builds/extensions of plant including amplifiers, line extenders, taps, etc.
  • Respond to outages and perform after-hours work per policy.
  • Sweep and balance CATV systems; document results.
  • Notify personnel of maintenance affecting service; maintain records.
  • Establish equipment lists and maintenance logs; map changes to mapping dept.
  • Operate vehicles safely; participate in on-call rotation.
