Mediacom Communications is seeking a Supervisor, Technical Operations in Huntsville, AL to provide technical direction for CATV operations and to supervise technical staff and contractors. You will hire, train, and evaluate personnel, troubleshoot cable systems, and ensure compliance with industry standards to deliver high-quality service.

The role requires strong electronics knowledge, RF test equipment experience, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience as an advanced technician with familiarity with all CATV technical jobs.
• Advanced electronics training, including RF test equipment and transmission line theories.
• Demonstrated aptitude with mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Valid driver's license; satisfactory driving record without major violations.
• May need to climb poles with proper safety equipment.
• Lift and carry loads up to 50–100 lbs.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• On-call availability 24/7.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate and supervise technical staff.
• Troubleshoot and repair cable systems; respond to customer inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with CLI, FCC, and OSHA standards.
• Oversee new construction adherence to technical specs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
