Job summary

UGI Utilities, Inc. in Middletown, PA, is seeking a Corrosion Technician to prevent and mitigate corrosion of underground metallic pipelines and to perform pipeline integrity assessments.

The role requires installing, inspecting, and maintaining cathodic protection systems, along with keeping necessary records and documentation. You will work with C&M, engineering, and contractors to protect assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and support pipeline safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cathodic protection concepts and integrity management.
• Experience with electrical circuit theory and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to gas pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, remediate and maintain cathodic protection systems.
• Inform and instruct teams and contractors on protection methods.
• Assist in installation of Corrosion Control systems.
• Assist in pipeline integrity assessment activities.
• Design cathodic protection systems for services and smaller main segments.
• Inspect services or mains for potential future protection.
