Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist (Cath Lab Tech) to join our dynamic team. The role focuses on performing diagnostic tests, managing cath lab equipment, and supporting physicians during procedures in the cardiology department.

Responsibilities include EKGs, assisting with catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker/defibrillator setup, and patient preparation with close monitoring of vital signs. Full-time Days with on-call.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R/RCIS certification and state license required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required on hire.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Electrocardiograms (EKGs) to measure heart electrical activity and rhythm.
• Assist in cardiac catheterizations for interventional procedures.
• Assist with angioplasty and stenting to open blocked arteries.
• Assist in pacemaker/defibrillator implantations.
• Prepare patients for cardiovascular tests and explain procedures.
