Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision. The role includes scrub and circulator duties, image equipment operation, and patient monitoring in the cath lab.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a sciences field, have ACLS certification, and obtain RCIS within six months of hire. ARRT/TX RT(R) can substitute if RCIS is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a science field or equivalent healthcare experience.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) acceptable in lieu of RCIS if RCIS is not held.

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assist physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures by interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, operating physiologic recorder, and interpreting pressures and waveforms.
• Assist physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operate imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assist as circulator during diagnostic procedures by monitoring patient status, handling supplies, and operating imaging equipment.
• Transport patients to and from the department.
• Prepare cath lab by stocking and maintaining sterile technique; support medications and dosages knowledge.
• Maintain post-procedure safety by removing arterial/venous sheaths and monitoring hemostasis.
• Arrange lab setup for procedures and manage sterile prep and pulse marking.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.

Education

Associate or Bachelor's degree (science emphasis)

AHA ACLS certification

RCIS certification within six months of hire

ARRT and TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS
