Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab. The role requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in science or related healthcare experience, and certifications including ACLS and RCIS within six months of hire.

The candidate will assist physicians, operate imaging equipment, and function as a scrub tech and circulator during procedures, with duties including patient transport and lab preparation.

Qualifications

• Associate orBachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience is required.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification is required.
• RCIS certification expected within six months of hire date.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures and interprets dysrhythmias and EKGs.
• Operates imaging equipment under physician direction and serves as scrub tech.
• Assists as circulator monitoring patient status and handing supplies.
• Transports patients to/from department and maintains cath lab stock.
• Maintains sterile technique and prepares the lab for procedures.
