Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician supervision. The role covers scrub tech and monitor tech duties, plus imaging equipment operation in the cath lab.

The candidate will assist in teaching, monitor patient status, and help with post-procedure care. Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree, ACLS, RCIS within six months, and ARRT/TX RT(R) if RCIS not held.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• AHA Advanced Cardio Life Support certification (ACLS).
• RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) acceptable in lieu of RCIS.
• Licenses and/or Certifications are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures by interpreting dysrhythmia and EKGs and operating physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists with diagnostic procedures as a circulator by monitoring patient status and handing supplies.
• Transports patients to and from the department and assists with cath lab setup, sterile technique, and post-procedure care.

Education

Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience

AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

RCIS certification within six months of hire

ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
